I do create pictures in my mind! This is helpful with some things like problem solving or proportional art. But since I know I can, maybe I can expand on it. Unfortunately, with regular memories, I can only recall about 5 seconds or less in video. I can recall those in slow video, extreme detail, format. Videos: There have been moments I did record, in slow mo, in stressful situations. That way, when you recall the smell for example, you might be able to access the image faster or easier. I just have to pay more attention and store things in my mind in a way that I can access it later.īut another thing you can do, is if there is something you're reading that you would really like to remember (start small), try and associate it with something like a smell, taste, a related memory. I'm totally making this stuff up, but it's what I latched on to quick when I was just realizing what I could do. Sometimes it just doesn't occur to you that you can do this cause you don't think about it often. This will get you on a certain track of habit. Go back in and try to see what has changed. Ask someone to go in and alter one thing. Walk into a small room, study where everything is placed. This might be too advanced to start if you don't already have this skill.Īnother way is to try and notice changes. Once you get to the point that you can remember what it looks like and where things are on the page, you should now have a better chance at finding the key words on the paper from memory which will then allow you to focus in on what was written below it. Then turn away and try to remember what each title said. Look at the page as a whole instead of them individually. Make the titles stand out with either different colors or pictures. On the study page write titles in large letters and some details under them in smaller letters. So what I suggest is writing out a study page (one piece of paper). Using flash cards only helps until you replace those images with something else. it will not be as strong of a link in your mind. So, if you study on the computer, but test on paper. I think everyone's strengths are different.
